Last date of submission of the MEF form for the year 2010-11 15th June, 2010 (05.30 PM) 
Last date of receipt of duly signed declaration 30th June, 2010
 A hard copy of the Declaration duly signed by all partners/ proprietor/ member practicing in individual name accompanied by a print of the e-mail acknowledging submission of MEF must be sent to ICAI by courier/speed post/hand delivery at ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi – 110 002 in an envelope superscribed with the words “DECLARATION FOR MEF 2010-11” so as to reach on or before 30th June, 2010.
Institute may  be called for to submit following documents: (selected randomly from the list of applicants of MEF 2010-11 up to 10% of the applicants).

  1. (Latest) Financial Statements of the firm
  2. Partnership deed in vogue and as on 1st January,2010
  3. Copy of acknowledgement of (latest) Income Tax Returns of the firm and partners
  4. Copy of computation of income of the of the firm and partners (latest)
  5. Copy of (latest) Assessment Order of the of the firm and partners

Appointment of ISA Qualified Members for Review of ITT Training Centres of ICAI

Applications are invited from ISA qualified members having working experience of five years to review the functioning of ITT centres of the ICAI.

The member should preferably be from Proprietary firms/ Partnership firm with a maximum of three members.

The following honorarium shall be paid for each review of the ITT centre:
a.  IT Centre having less than 20 computers Rs. 2,500
b.  IT Centres having 20 or more but less than 50 computers Rs. 4,500
c.  IT Centres having 50 or more but less than 100 computers Rs. 6,500
d.  IT Centres having more than 100 computers Rs. 8,000

Requirement of registration number in the audit reports wef 01-04-2010

The council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI),at its 292nd meeting held on January 13th 2010, has decided to require members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) to include, in addition other requirements relating to signature on the Audit Report, as prescribed under the relevant Standard on Auditing, the registration number of the firm as allotted by ICAI, in the audit reports signed by them and Ensure that the resolution passed by the company regarding appointment of the statutory auditor of the company under section 224 of the Companies Act, 1956, also contain the registration number of the firm of the auditor(s) with the ICAI with effect from 01st April,2010.

Announcement for panel for outsourcing of work of Technical Scrutiny of Balance Sheets

 

 

The Institute has received an Office Memorandum (OM) from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. As per the OM, the Registrar of Companies will prepare a panel of professionals for Technical Scrutiny of Balance Sheets filled by the Companies for the State concerned.

 

 

The Scheme of outsourcing the work will be for the financial year 2009-10. The details of the Scheme specifying the eligibility criteria, mode of application, Procedure to be followed by the ROC for outsourcing of work, is provided in the Office Memorandum issued by the Ministry

 

 

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India while appreciating the initiative taken by the Ministry for ensuring good corporate governance and transparency for safeguarding the interest of the shareholders, creditors and the economy as a whole wishes to provide professional expertise of its members to the Registrar of Companies. For the purpose, it has been decided to send a panel of the members of the Institute to the Ministry.

The chartered accountants/firms which have already applied for the Multi-purpose panel for the year 2009-10 will be automatically empanelled for the subject empanelment.  In case, they have not applied for the same, the following details may please be mailed at pdc@icai.in with the subject “Empanelment with the office of RoC”
