{"id":156,"date":"2021-09-24T12:16:47","date_gmt":"2021-09-24T12:16:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sonycl.com\/blog\/?p=156"},"modified":"2021-09-24T12:16:47","modified_gmt":"2021-09-24T12:16:47","slug":"due-date-for-holding-of-agms-by-the-companies-extended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonycl.com\/blog\/2021\/09\/24\/due-date-for-holding-of-agms-by-the-companies-extended\/","title":{"rendered":"Due Date for Holding of AGMs by the Companies &#8211; Extended"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">In view of difficulties faced due to second wave of Covid-19 and consequent Lockdown etc., MCA has extended the Due Date for Holding AGMs of the companies by <strong>2 months<\/strong> from the due date by which the AGM ought to have been held for the Financial Year 2020-21 ending on 31\/03\/2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Extension granted is also applicable to the following:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pending applications filed in form GNL-1 for the extension of AGM for the financial year ended on 31.03.2021, which are yet to be approved.<br><\/li><li>Applications filed in form GNL-1 for the extension of AGM for the financial year ended on 31.03.2021, which were rejected.<br><\/li><li>Applications filed in form GNL-1 for the extension of AGM for the financial year ended on 31.03.2021, where the extension approved was for a period less than Two Months.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Extension granted is not applicable to the following:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Holding of First AGM.<br><\/li><li>Applications filed in form GNL-1 for the extension of AGM for the financial year ended on 31.03.2021, where the extension approved was for a period of more than Two Months.<br><\/li><li>Companies who have issued notices and circulated for holding the meeting by 30 September 2021.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Respective ROCs have issued Extension Orders, which are available at the link below:<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mca.gov.in\/content\/mca\/global\/en\/data-and-reports\/rd-roc-info\/extension-agm.html\">https:\/\/www.mca.gov.in\/content\/mca\/global\/en\/data-and-reports\/rd-roc-info\/extension-agm.html<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In view of difficulties faced due to second wave of Covid-19 and consequent Lockdown etc., MCA has extended the Due Date for Holding AGMs of the companies by 2 months from the due date by which the AGM ought to have been held for the Financial Year 2020-21 ending on 31\/03\/2021.
